Behind the Curtain
This site began as more than just a creative playground. It comes from someone who has been navigating life with mental health disorders, making a sharp pivot after circumstances reshaped everything. The cats you see here aren’t just mascots - they’re companions and quiet therapists, helping to carry the weight of uncertainty with a mix of patience, humor, and presence.What you’re exploring isn’t just a portfolio. It’s a rebuilding, an attempt to step back into the world, one pawprint at a time.

The HoomanOur hooman has been navigating life with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and agoraphobia. He was formally diagnosed in 2022, though he’s likely been managing it since childhood.He made the intentional decision to step away from a work environment that no longer supported his growth, well-being, and healing. Since then, he’s been focused on building a healthier space for himself, one that allows room for recovery, steady progress, and personal development.Even with these challenges, he continues to fight. He chooses to keep going, to care for us, and to provide in the ways he can.

Current Goals & Community Cat InitiativeAlongside my professional work through MAProjects, I am currently working toward a focused and responsible personal goal: stabilizing and improving the welfare of the cats under my care.How This Started
Over time, the number of cats in my care grew unintentionally.
During extended periods of mental health challenges and reduced capacity, I was not always able to manage sterilization early enough. As a result, the population increased beyond what is sustainable long term.
Rather than ignore the situation, I have decided to address it responsibly and structurally.My Current Focus
My goals are clear and finite:
1. Sterilize all cats under my care to prevent further pregnancies.
2. Build a sturdier, weather-proof cat house designed for safety, ventilation, and durability. (A detailed design is provided here.)
3. Create a manageable, stable, and humane long-term setup.
This is not an open-ended expansion.
It is a stabilization plan.Mental Health & Responsibility
I live with mental health conditions that have, at times, limited my mobility and energy. These periods contributed to delays in proactive management.
However, MAProjects itself was built during these limitations — proof that I remain capable, disciplined, and committed to structured work.
Addressing the cat situation is part of the same principle: responsibility, clarity, and long-term planning.Funding Approach
My primary goal is to fund this initiative through my professional services.

Hooman worked as a University Instructor in a local state university for more than 7 years. As part of the academic community, the hooman performed responsibilities across the three core functions of higher education: instruction, research, and extension, along with several institutional designations.Instruction involved preparing lectures, instructional materials, and teaching resources, delivering quality learning experiences, and evaluating student performance.Research included preparing research proposals relevant to community and environmental concerns, presenting them for review, conducting the approved studies, presenting the research findings, and submitting completed research papers for publication.Extension work focused on developing extension proposals that respond to the needs of communities and the environment, presenting them for approval, and implementing extension programs.The hooman also served in several institutional designations, including:Sports Moderator

Campus Computer Laboratory Coordinator / Campus ICTMO PersonnelBeing in the academe provided the hooman with a diverse set of skills beyond teaching, including experience in creative and digital work such as graphic design, content creation, document editing, layouting, photography, and video editing. The hooman also developed skills in technical writing and document design through academic and institutional projects.Recently, the hooman has been focusing on freelancing and building a portfolio of creative and digital services, enjoying projects that combine creativity, organization, and freedom. The hooman is currently looking for opportunities to contribute these skills while continuing to grow professionally.The hooman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental & Sanitary Engineering, with graduate units in Master of Environmental Engineering major in Geoenvironmental Engineering, and is a Licensed Sanitary Engineer. While trained in this field, the hooman has discovered that creativity, digital work, and flexible projects are where he feels most at home.

Proposed Specifications

• Enclosure that can accommodate 8–12 cats
• Enough space for them to run around but still are safe
• Constructed concrete walls with steel pipes for columns and beams
• Includes a cat wheel, beds, scratch posts, and cat bridges
• Elevated paved floor with porous surface
• Hidden litter sandbox with liftable cover for easy maintenance, plus pest- and weather-proof exhaust/ventilation
• Steel matting on the front and right walls for bird-watching, with predator-proof reinforcement (for snakes)
• GI roofing with nipa leaf insulation or plywood for temperature regulation
• Roll-up thick tarpaulins which can be rolled down during windy/stormy days.

All sterilization procedures are and will be conducted through licensed veterinary clinics. While community or government-sponsored programs are not currently available in my area, veterinary care remains the safest and most responsible option.Sterilizations will be and are scheduled gradually to prioritize the health of each cat and maintain financial sustainability.Below are the current resident cats.
